Today’s the day!

ELLE UK subscriber cover October 2013

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley smoulders on the subscriber’s cover of ELLE UK, October 2013

So, after weeks, months, let’s face it, a lifetime of anticipation (at least on my part) today the October issue of ELLE UK hits the newsstands; the ‘Edited by the Interns’ special. I had the honour of being selected as ‘The Editor Intern’ for this ground-breaking initiative, now into its second year, in association with Nokia. A truly once in a lifetime opportunity to contribute to the world’s biggest magazine and website brand; I’m still pinching myself.

I’ve christened today ‘ELLEmas’ and have taken to celebrating the occasion in true festive style and spirit. Cue a sleepless ‘ELLEmas Eve’ of childlike excitement at the promise of this day- my Postie even looks a little bit like Santa, except clad in regulation neon orange (he’s so on-trend but I’m certain he hates me as my weighty magazine subscriptions have given him serious back issues – pun intended). My ‘gift’, my subscribers edition was well worth the wait. In true fangirl style, I have also purchased the newsstand edition and am thoroughly enjoying my copies so far. I hope you’ll agree.

Without giving too much away about the issue – go buy it! – you can expect to see editorial features, imagery, design and reports from our ELLE Intern team in addition to the regular inspirational content you can always rely on with ELLE. In the upcoming posts I’ll be sharing more on my experience but in the meantime, do get in touch via Twitter or my Contact page.

You can also go behind the scenes of the making of the issue with the ‘Interns Blog’ over on www.elleuk.com
